Challenge Statement

Families and children’s ministries often struggle to make Bible stories engaging and memorable for young minds. Without creative, bite-sized tools, it becomes difficult for children to understand, remember, and live out the lessons of Scripture in their daily lives.

Challenge Owners

Karan Thomas
Lead-planter at New Bridge Community Church in Pune, husband to Esther, and father of two, Karan is a church-builder blending faith with innovation. He actively leads faith-&-tech initiatives like HACKPune’25 and the Lausanne Movement’s leadership journey, helping the church step into the digital age with purpose and passion.
Nancy Makasare
From starting in Kids Church back in 7th grade to now serving in the Experience and Hospitality Ministry, Nancy has always had a heart for people and purpose. Professionally, she’s a Cybersecurity Engineer, but she firmly believes that your biggest ministry is not within the church walls, but in your workplace. With a passion for helping others discover their true calling, Nancy uses 1:1 coaching and personal interactions to guide people toward living out their God-given purpose wherever they’re placed.

Context

In today’s fast-paced, visual world, short-format storytelling has become the language children respond to best. However, there’s a lack of accessible, age-appropriate Christian content that translates timeless Bible stories into modern, action-oriented media.
Bible Action Stories bridges this gap by turning powerful Bible lessons into short, visual, and interactive stories — helping kids see, act, and live God’s Word in everyday moments.

Be part of the team bringing Bible stories to life!

Desired Outcome

To create a series of short, engaging vertical videos that bring Bible stories to life — each centered around six core “actions” children can practice.
By the end of the project, we aim to:

  • Develop 30 fully produced short stories with narration and visuals.
  • Provide churches and families with free, reusable media resources.
  • Encourage children to remember and apply Bible truths through simple, repeatable actions.
