What’s the problem?
Mental health struggles such as anxiety, stress, loneliness, and burnout are rising sharply, especially among youth, students, and young professionals. Despite the growing burden, awareness remains low, and conversations around emotional wellbeing are still stigmatized or spiritualized without support.
Churches and faith communities often lack practical, accessible, and safe spaces to process mental struggles. Many don’t know where to begin or feel ashamed to ask for help.
Why is this a problem?
- Many people suffer silently, thinking faith alone should “fix” them.
- Emotional pain goes unrecognized, leading to worse conditions.
- Mental health issues are misinterpreted as a lack of faith or spiritual failure.
- Church leaders are unequipped to recognize or respond sensitively.
- There’s no easy digital system for early emotional check-ins or guidance.
What happens if we don’t solve this?
- Individuals withdraw, isolate, or walk away from church/community.
- Suicidal ideation, anxiety disorders, and burnout increase.
- Churches remain silent while people break silently.
- Youth will turn to the internet for help, often finding unhealthy coping.
- Mental health becomes a taboo, again.
